Abstract:
Although language is a means of bilateral communication and understanding among people, it has own complexities and cultural differences that can result in misunderstanding and miscommunication. then a question arises: How can we speak in a universal language which has all-understandable lexicon and simple grammatical patterns that can be easily translated into any other language. the answer of this question lies in “minimal language”. Minimal Language can be based on any existing natural language in the world, such as Persian. Minimal Persian is a highly simplified and reduced version of the ordinary Persian whose the number of words and the complexity of grammatical structures are much fewer than those of the ordinary Persian. The key idea behind minimal language is that people can communicate with each other in the simplest possible way by learning a small set of basic and essential words which express universal semantic primes. In the present study, after proposing the idea of Minimal Persian, we will introduce the lexicon and grammar of this minimal language and will present some examples of semantic explication based on this language.
