Abstract
In every language, dialects and accents are of the most beneficial tools in studying the revolution of history, language and culture. Since most of these dialects and accents which have remained intact until this day, are now endangered by media, preserving and documenting them are vital. Because they are a huge part of our identity and also seeing that they, as legacies of the ancient languages, can lead to discovering and understanding them. Studying verb inflection in Chahkand-e Mud’s- located in South Khorasan province- dialect demonstrates characteristics which differentiate it from standard Persian. The local data needed for this study are collected in the field by recording the daily conversations of the speakers during a two-month period. The inductive analysis and decomposition of these facts, and comparing it with the grammatical rules of the standard Persian, indicates unique cases which a few of them will be explained in this paper.
