Abstract |
Aspect is one of the categories of inflection of verbs in Persian. In this paper it is found out that lexical aspect extracted in some sort of semantic features along with grammatical aspect, produce a network for interpretation of verb aspect system, we introduce as “Systematic Aspect Network”. In considering all categories of both kinds of aspects, 4 grammatical and 6 lexical, we come up with 24 possibilities resulting from interaction system which predicts the potential meanings of all aspectually inflected verbs. We show that all possible aspectual meanings of verbs are completely and thoroughly compatible with these 24 possibilities. The Systematic Aspect Network helps processing syntax-semantic interface in the category of aspect, otherwise interpreted as irregularities. The Network can be extended to other languages and can be proclaimed as a Language Prediction System necessary in natural language processing devices. This paper designs and suggests a network which is of two axes and composed of two valued features. |
