The present article examines the various concepts of “Bala and Paien”words in the context of cognitive linguistics (lexical cognitive semantics) And the main purpose of this study is to show the randomness of the various meanings of these words and to provide a coherent semantic network in which various concepts of objective (physical) and abstract (metaphorical) “Bala and Paien” words in the form of semantic clusters, which are rooted in a the meaning of the prototype, is the same as placing the moving point in the upper / lower vertical axis of the top-down image schema in the form of a radial structure. Method: The nature of research is descriptive-analytical method and the type is corpus-based.the selected corpus is Farhang-e Sokhan (Sokhan dictionary) and the tools applied are those of the cognitive linguistics e.g. categorization, prototype, visual and cognitive schemas, semantic network, and so on. Analysis and Conclusion: The results indicate that these words have different meanings, all of which are derived from a single meaning and interconnected network.
